Mr. Stickney's rehabilitation experience includes over 30 years of assisting the disabled in their return to productivity.

Following graduation from college, he worked as a Placement Counselor\ Sheltered Worked Foreman for approximately 4 years in Western New York. After graduate school he was employed as the first Director of Monarch Training Program, a Day Treatment Program in Syracuse, NY staffed by 30 professionals including Habilitation Aides, Case Managers, Occupational Therapists, Physicial Therapists, Speech Therapist, Nurse and Physician. Clientele served included severely disabled adults.

Subsequently. Mr. Stickney held  positions as a Rehabilitation Counselor\Supervisor in Syracuse, NY and Fairbanks, AK.

In 1986, Mr. Stickney established Stickney Rehabilitation Services, Inc. Since that time he has been involved with the vocational rehabilitation assessment and service delivery needs of individuals disabled from personal injury or work accidents. He has provided testimony before the New York State Supreme Court, US District Court- Northern District, the NYS Workers Compensation Board and the Special Masters of the US Department of Justice Vaccine Program.

Part-time Rehabilitation Counseling work was performed for Occupational Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (Buffalo, New York 1978-1979) and Vocational Evaluation and Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc. (Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska 1983-1984).

Mr. Stickney holds a B.B.A. from St. Bonaventure University and a M.S. in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

He is certified as a Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (since 1978). The American Board of Vocational Experts has awarded Mr. Stickney the distinction of Diplomate status (1986).

Professional memberships include: International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, National Rehabilitation Association, and National Rehabilitation Counseling Association. He is a co-founder and past steering committee member of the CNY Rehabilitation Professionals and past Treasurer and President of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector. He is currently the Chair of the Ethics Committee for New York NARPPS.
